Day Zero / One

It's after 2am on 23NOV2025 and I am absolutely mentally drained. I spent most of yesterday and this morning getting my 1st song distributed through DistroKid, followed by creating this website through Bandzoogle, and creating a merch shop through Printful. It's crazy all I've learned within the past day. I have my song Taking a Look (Intro) available on a bunch of streaming services.

There's also the full-length music video which was an entire project in itself. It's basically the song, followed by the song again, but the video that goes with it is different. The 1st half is just a basic intro of myself and it reveals the demon within (Creature of Denial). Then we're taken to the gates of Hell and the devil introduces Hell as if it's an episode of MTV Cribs, and yes, I'm aging myself here. Once the intro is done, we're suddenly taken further into my own personal world of Hell. I guess you can say it's an intro to my Hell on Earth. Now's a good time to also mention that no video footage was recorded or used at all for this video. It's 100% AI-generated, and completely trained on photos of me!

So yeah, the 2nd half of the video is an AI version of me hopping out of my Navy bootcamp photograph. It touches on how miserable I was during my 20 years. It then cuts to a scene where I'm signing a contract and it's shown in a loop. That's representing how I kept reenlisting and eventually signed my DD-214 to get out. That went perfect with the line “Take me away. Take me to another place.” Suddenly we're transported to an airplane and get a glimpse of an AI generated version of downtown Houston, TX. This represents me going back to TX after retiring from the Navy. This goes into a few other moments of my life and then we wind up where I am currently in NY with my cat Smokey. Gotta love how the AI attempted to have Smokey sing. I might actually have him sing a song at some point. So many ideas float around in my head. The video ends with an old yearbook photo, a photo wearing some Mickey Mouse ears that I sewed a Marilyn Manson patch onto, a photo of when I was little (the oldest known photo I have of me), and finally a photo with a dummy on my head. Also note…I was wearing a Steven Rhodes shirt in that photo and it's the one that says “Deal with the Devil”. Ties in quite nicely I think.

Aside from the song/video, I already made a couple merch items for sale! You can find that in the Store link here: https://creatureofdenial.com/store Currently there's just a hoodie and a t-shirt with the Demon design. It's also got a Creature of Denial logo on the back. Not too bad for just starting out. I can't imagine how difficult it would be in the past to do what I did in less than 24 hours.

I'm not sure how I'll get the word out that I exist, as that's been my #1 problem since I began tinkering around with music back in late 2010. I always did it as a hobby, but that didn't get me what I truly wanted, which is a following, so that others can enjoy what I do. I love sharing my creative side and hope to get a following of fellow like-minded people.

Alright, that's plenty for now. Hopefully, I won't be talking to myself for much longer. I'm out of here!
